Policies, Payments & Holiday Rates

Whether you're booking a check-in or an extended stay, this page outlines everything you need to know—so you can book confidently, knowing your dog is in reliable, caring hands.

Below you’ll find my current policies related to booking, cancellations, and holiday rates.

 

Note: I understand that dogs — and life — don’t always follow the plan. While my policies help me protect my time and schedule, I’m always open to thoughtful conversations when special circumstances arise.​

Cancellations & Refunds:
 

Overnight Stays:

  • 7+ days in advance: 100% refund or full credit toward future booking

  • 3–6 days in advance: 50% refund or 75% credit toward future booking

  • Less than 48 hours: No refund; 50% credit may be offered at my discretion and upon discussion 


Check-In Visits:

  • 48+ hours in advance: Full refund or credit

  • Day-of cancellations: $10 fee (to be paid before next booking)


Early Returns:

No refunds or credits are issued for early returns once services have started.


Holiday Bookings:
 

Holiday periods require additional prep and scheduling—especially for dogs with medication needs or custom routines.
 

Deposits:

  • A 50% deposit is required to hold all holiday bookings

  • This deposit is non-refundable if canceled within 14 days of the first visit

 

Holiday Rate Increases:

An additional charge applies to all services scheduled over major holidays:

  • 25% increase to overall payment due for overnights and check-ins during designated holiday periods (see below)
     

2025 Holiday Periods

  • May 23–26 (Memorial Day)

  • July 4–6 (Independence Day)

  • Aug 29 – Sept 1 (Labor Day)

  • Nov 27–30 (Thanksgiving)

  • Dec 24 – Jan 1, 2026 (Christmas & New Year’s)

 

2026 Holiday Periods

  • May 22–25 (Memorial Day)

  • July 3–5 (Independence Day)

Planning ahead is strongly encouraged—holiday dates book quickly!

 

Payment Policy & Process:​

  • Holiday bookings require a 50% deposit to reserve dates

  • Payment options will be shared at the time of booking (Venmo, Zelle, etc.)

  • For bookings of three-or-more overnights -- at any time -- a deposit of 50% of overall charges is due prior to services

  • Receipts available upon request

     

Sitter Illness or Emergency:

If I must cancel due to illness or emergency, you'll receive a full refund for any services not yet rendered. Additionally, I'll do my best to help you find suitable, alternative care, if needed.
